NEW positioning information under POS on the App.
Explanation of the NEW positioning information.
Positioning status:
-
Fix: Fine positioning status, accuracy less than 10cm, up to 2cm with the good open-sky area; (can auto mowing)
-
Float: Bad positioning status, accuracy about 50-200cm (can NOT auto mowing)
-
Single: Bad positioning status, accuracy with meter-level(can NOT auto mowing)
-
None: No positioning status (can NOT auto mowing)
Satellites(Luba): the satellites Luba can "see" as shown in "2", both L1 frequency and L2 frequency Satellites are included;
Satellites(Ref. Station): the satellites RTK reference station can "see" as shown in "1", "L1" indicates the satellites with L1 frequency, and "L2" indicates the satellites with L2 frequency; Most satellites are with both L1 and L2.
Satellites(Co-Viewing): the satellites are seen both by Luba and RTK ref. station This number is the number of satellites used when doing RTK calculation, normally both L1 and L2 are more than 20 sats will be good for a stable RTK positioning;
Signal quality(Luba) & (Ref. Station): the satellite signal quality of Luba & RTK reference station. The signal will be the best with a fully open-sky area. Trees, leaves, walls, fences, and other obstacles can make the satellite signal weak even though Luba or RTK reference station can still "see" that satellite. And the WEAK signal is with more errors in itself and makes accurate RTK positioning difficult.
That's why when the "Signal quality" is shown as"WEAK" or "BAD", Luba's positioning status can also be " Float" or "Single" even if there are more than 20 satellites for the Co-Viewing;
Connection to Ref.Station: the connection status between Luba and the RTK reference station.
If this is shown as "weak" or "bad", it may be because Luba is too far from the RTK reference station, or thick walls/buildings between Luba and RTK reference station;
If this status is "None", please check if the RTK reference station is powered off, or defect (like water in it), or if the radio antenna is not on the RTK ref. station.
How to troubleshoot the related issues?
ISSUE because of the RTK reference station:
-
If the "Satellite(Ref. Station): L1<20 L2<20 " and the " Satellite(Co-Viewing): L1<20 L2<20", positioning status is "Float": Indicates that the RTK Ref. station "sees" not enough satellites, check the place where you set RTK ref.station. Please set the RTK ref. station on a place with an open-sky area and there are no coverages within 5m at least. Or you can simply set the RTK ref. station on the wall & roof; Please send us the images of the environment of the place you set Ref Station, and upload the Logs.
-
If "Signal quality(Ref. Station): bad & weak", positioning status is **"Float":**The satellite signal received by RTK ref. station is weak because of the coverage of trees, leaves, walls, fences, and other obstacles, please check the place where you set RTK ref. station. Please set the RTK ref. station on a place with an open-sky area and there are no coverages within 5m at least. Or you can simply set the RTK ref. station on the wall & roof; Please send us the images of the environment of the place you set Ref Station, and upload the Logs.
-
If the "Satellite(Ref. Station): L1:0 L2:0" and "Satellite(Co-Viewing): L1:0 L2:0 ", positioning status is "Single" . Also, in this case, the ”Connection to Ref. Station“ should be "None" or"Weak": no data transmitted from RTK ref. station to Luba. Please:
-
check the power supply of RTK ref. station;
-
check if the LED on RTK ref. station is constant green from 8:00- 18:00 local time;
-
check if the ref. station is defect( check if water in the ref.station)
-
check if the radio antenna is set on the RTK ref. station;
-
If you changed the RTK ref. station, please pair the new Rtk ref. station with Luba on the App. Click here for details https://mammotion3006.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/16503733641367. Please send us the images of the environment of the place you set Ref Station, and upload the Logs.

ISSUE because of LUBA:
-
If the "Satellite(Luba)<25" and the "Satellite(Co-Viewing): L1<20 L2<20 ", the positioning status is "Float": Indicates that Luba "sees" not enough satellites, check the place where Luba is, especially when Luba is on the charging station. if there are high trees/ walls/metal walls etc. Please send us the images of the environment of where Luba lost position, and upload the Logs.
-
If "Signal quality(Luba): bad & weak", positioning status is "Float": The satellite signal received by Luba is weak because of the coverage of trees, leaves, walls, fences, and other obstacles, please check if the current location of Luba covered/ partly covered. Please also send us the images of the environment of where Luba lost position, and upload the Logs.
-
If Luba is on the charging station, please set the charging station to a more open-sky area;
-
If Luba is on the working area boundary&corner, please use the "modify boundary " function to modify the task area boundary&corner and make the boundy&corner away from the coverage;
-
If Luba is inside the task area(not at the boundary or corner) and lost good positioning because of the coverage of obstacles(like trees & iron tables/chairs), please set the obstacles as no-go zones;
-
-
If "Satellite(Luba): 0" and the "Satellite(Co-Viewing): L1:0 L2:0 ", the positioning status is "None": Luba sees no satellite, please check if Luba is indoors or the rear of Luba is covered by metal. If Luba is defective, please contact our aftersale colleagues at https://mammotion3006.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=13773144519703; Please send us the images of the environment where Luba lost position, and upload the Logs.
